Eggplant

Eggplant can be sown directly into the garden. Eggplant that is grown in different temperate climates seems to do better when they are transplanted into the garden after all danger of frost is over. Spacing should be 18" - 24" between plants. The flowers which contain both male and female structures, are relatively unattractive to bees and the first blossoms most of the time will not set fruit. If you can hand pollinate the first set of blossoms, they will do much better.
