Swiss Chard also known as silverbeets, perpetual spinach, Spinach beets, crab beets, sea-kale beets or mangolds. Swiss Chard doesn't last very long after picked. It has a slightly bitter taste. When you pick it young, it can be used in salads. Mature swiss chard leaves and stalks will lose some of their bitterness after they are cooked. Swiss Chard is more of a refined flavorined flavor which is more delicate than that of cooked spinach.
